Along our journey’s way since ’96, the hundreds of thousands of miles The Illegal Eagles have covered as a band en-route to gigs - whether on the tour-bus or in our cars - have been made the more enjoyable thanks to a virtually limitless supply of rock music now available on the various radio stations and streaming platforms.
Inevitably, some songs will have had great personal significance to each of us, one way or another and we love to “educate” each other - showing off the songs that have excited us most during our own personal musical growth.
Finding we have had more time on our hands since March 2020’s lockdown has given each of us the opportunity to think about this and revisit the songs that have influenced us and made us into the musicians we are today.so we thought it would be fun to re-create some of our favourites with the same care and respect we lavish on our Eagles recording endeavours.
Early into the project we realised this was to be a major undertaking and would require a large number of songs to properly do it justice - the back story to each member of the Illegal Eagles is vast and varied - so, here is volume one, our individual parts recorded totally in isolation in our own homes.
A curation of the songs we love, classics all, that have thrilled and shaped us.
